The Three Ladies
This is by far and above the most popular religion in the realm. Though priests and the devout may believe they are 3 different entities, they are realistically worshiping the same goddess in 3 different ways. In many churches they are often worshiped togetheras the Three Ladies, an effort on the part of the religious organizations to build stronger communities in villages across the realm. The symbol is often a triangular column, sometimes carved with the likeness of three women, one on each side.
Ihavidrah; Goddess of Luck, Trade & Commerce
Matron of both merchants and thieves, her edicts are:
- Fortune favors the bold.
- Wisdom is the path to prosperity.
- Humility is the true sign of success, the braggart always loses his coin.
Bali; Goddess of Love & Charity
The Matron of beggars, orphans, lovers and the ill. She encourages giving as well as personal responsibility. Her edicts are
- Take when needed; give when able.
- Gifts received ought not be forgotten.
- Remedies come first from your own fortitude.
Eiyincynth; Goddess of agriculture, growth, fertility, the seasons and rebirth
Matron of farmers, herbalists & midwives. She represents ebb and flow, and the natural cycles of the world, and like her "sister," Bali, preaches responsibility, though in this church it is more in the form of hard prizes won from hard work. Her edicts are:
- Reap not if you have not sewn.
- A weak crop strengthens the soul.
- Beware the strong crop, for winter travels fast.
